A Short History

Bianca Pratt was chosen as the first princess in the African Continent Queen of Beauty Competition in Gambia in 1987.

In 1992 Michelle McClean became "Miss Universe 1992"

In 1993 Miss Namibia Barbara Kahatjipara was chosen as "Miss
Personality" at the Miss Universe Contest

Mia de Klerk was voted on the internet one of 50 of the most beautiful
women in the World 2000 as well as the Face of Africa for the World
2000.

Ndepewa Alfons was 6th runner up at the Miss Universe 2002 Pageant.

Anna Nashandi Miss Namibia 2006, was one of the semi finalists in the
Miss World 2006 pageant

As an indirect consequence of Michelle's election in 1991, Namibia
staged the Miss Universe contest in 1995.

The very first national director, the founder of the Miss Namibia
Pageant, Nic Kruger . His term of office was from 1980 until 1996.

His successor, Danie Botes during 1997 and 1998. And Conny Maritz has
been the national director ever since.
